Additional activities

Beyond finalising the 2006 holding company statutory books, caught up the backlog  in statutory books and corporation tax returns of the daughters outside Holland.

M&A - Arranging Finance

Scoping and analysing due diligences such as Finance, IT, Legal, HRM/pensions, etc

Contacts with Banks: Supply performance information, financing acquisitions, re-financing loans and installed IRS (interest rate swaps)

Assisted an Aviation service company to re-finance their debt package shortly after the company was acquired by a Venture Capitalist.

 

Advisor acquisition logistical service company

Advising Director/Owner in acquiring a competitor and implementing a new IT functionality to cater for the new activity to its portfolio of services

 

Acquisition of a Russian focused tankcontainer operator

Advising Director/Owner in acquiring this competitor and assisted to integrate this  Company in the existing organisation

 

Advise, guide and (re-)finance new & existing entrepreneurial ventures

As part of the objectives of Fimmar BV, Fimmar help to develop new & existing Entrepreneurial ventures, mainly run by people in their twenties and early thirties like the foldable steel container, fashion bag company, a small tank container operator, etc.

 

April 2010 Interim CFO of a leading steel construction group

Scope: transfer the group from a family company into a corporate body.

Principal assignment for 18 months

 

Achievements / introduced:

 

Complete roll out Exact Globe finance over 80 companies Europe wide including implementation of a group wide communication network with mirroring back-ups

 

Setup complete financial reporting structure including Consolidated P&L, Balance sheet, Cashflow, KPI’s and covenant testing for the current year results, forecast and budget (Group never forecasted or budgeted before). Together with a standard Board Meeting report format

 

Full reporting reduced from 3 months (once a year for some entities outside the Netherlands) to 5 weeks initially and finally within 3 weeks after implementing detailed timetables.
